This allows us to build projects that use pyproject.toml and/or setup.py.

@grouigrokon I'm a little confused with the fact that you approved this merge request with suggestions for change ... should I check the existence of pyproject.toml?

As mentioned above, my suggestion was on a part of code which has disappeared since then ... My comment was then useless, hence my approval.
