Though you can set a preferece to always close after any action, the current radio-button scheme doesn't let you, for instance, copy to clipboard and then close a set of tabs (selected in the more complicated UI) if you want to do it in a particular instance or for only some tabs.
To fix this, you might separate "close" from the button group, perhaps put it on the right and perhaps change to "close?"
