[WIP] Check tests in test_criterions.py #150

Some recently updated package introduced two of our criterions tests to fail (some gradients we expect to be None are now set to all zeros, it seems.

This was the last time we ran public tests successfully:

So we can narrow the packages to those receiving pypi updates since Apr 11, 2024.

[ ] Find root cause, fix tests in this PR, and remove the TODO comment in test_criterions.py.
