The only reason I put a request in about this one ad in text now is because it is extremely rare to even see an ad in any android apps since I bought ad guard.
And this one ad seems frozen /stuck.. The ad never switches to another ad. So I thought I would send in a report, see if there is a way to get rid of it.
@shinozuka75 Hi. How can I check it? Need steps to reproduce.

Well in the Android textnow app the ad you see in the following link shows 100% of the time
I am pretty sure it is an ad for
for https://us.toluna.com/#/
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.toluna.webservice&hl=en_US&gl=US
I never see any other ads. Only this one. it shows up on the main Text Now (Android app 21.47.0.0) menu and when you hit the hamburger menu in the top left on main Text now screen it shows up at the bottom of every screen.
I do have Malware Bytes Anti Malware. I do not know if that app is allowing the ad somehow.
I think you can see the ad in all the attached screenshots.
On my phone (Unihertz Titan with Android 10) all I need to do to reproduce is open the app. The ad is always there .
I have Adguard 3.6.6 . I updated filters and rebooted the phone just now. Ad is there. As a side note AdGuard blocks SO MANY ads I was shocked to see this ad a few weeks ago. It never rotates to another ad . It is only in the one app.
@shinozuka75 I can't install it on my device, because unsupported. Could you please close app, clear filtering log, reproduce an issue and make screenshots of the log?
Hello again,
Well what I did this morning (before I saw your reply) was I actually deleted the Adguard and Textnow apps from my Unihertz phone , rebooted then reinstalled both apps fresh.
So the screenshots I send you are after a fresh install.
The pesky ad is back. I also see notifications HTTPS filtering error Textnow does not accept our certificate
I think is what it says. I have included everything I could grab. The filtering log was several screens.

That's because you have enabled HTTPS filtering for this app in Apps Management:) It works in browsers.
The filtering log was several screens.
It seems, external(loaded from network, like Google Ads) ads are blocked, and they show you a dummy. What do you see in that places when AdGuard paused?
Maybe they load ad from own server. You may try to block static.textnow.com
and check result(if nothing broken and ad is blocked, I will add the rule to filters).

(I should have thought of trying that.)
Ok so I paused AdGuard and refresh Textnow, the ad switched to an ad for CreditKarma.
I unpause and reboot the phone and the https://camo.githubusercontent.com/027e8d64ebbfd34a6a82be7205c52e6fdff81a9d0bbb13b86f4adaf9d65e2c62/68747470733a2f2f7265706f7274732d696d672e616467756172642e636f6d2f6b4874626d49772e706e67

I don't think that did it. When I added static.textnow.com to my rules there was one time I didn't see the ad, but I rebooted and I saw the credit Karma ad again. I removed the rule and back to the Toluna ad. I have AdGuard enabled and updated . Textnow is running fine.
If we can't figure it out it is not a huge issue, it is just one ad. I appreciate you looking into it.
Ok then.
