Not reproduced on my end. Do you have any user rules in DNS or blocker?

SeriousHoax commented 1 year ago

I can reproduce the issue. Here I'm adding a GIF and tagging @Yuki2718 since we discussed it on Twitter. Let me know if you need more info. adv

Tried reproducing with your settings in chrome, firefox, brave browsers. The popup with anti-adblock does not appear. @AdguardTeam/filters-maintainers could you please take a look?

Interesting. Could this be location based? I'm from Bangladesh. Can you try with a VPN after connecting to a South-Asian region like, India?

jellizaveta commented 1 year ago

It's possible to allow for this scenario. Could you please record har file and send it to filters@adguard.com? https://adguard.com/kb/guides/collect-har-file/#docusaurus_skipToContent_fallback

Okay. Do I need to record it with or without the Adguard Extension enabled?

Let's take a look with both AdGuard on and off

@SeriousHoax Hello. Unfortunately I haven't gotten a letter in the mail yet.

@SeriousHoax Hello. Unfortunately I haven't gotten a letter in the mail yet.

@jellizaveta

Sorry, I was very busy in the last couple of days and forgot about it. Anyway, opening dev tools was tricky, as pressing F12 shows paused in debugger mode and I can't do anything. Don't know if there's a way to avoid that. Somehow was able to record HAR in Firefox, but not sure if it's enough. I have sent both with and without Adguard HAR files to the email. Subject is: HAR files for issue "a2zapk.io #156267"

Hope this helps.

SeriousHoax commented 1 year ago

There's also a loading popup now on the site, which you should see. Also, seeing this in the Adguard log now. Didn't see it the last time. It doesn't show which filter is modifying it. a

jellizaveta commented 1 year ago

Thanks, got the email, task in progress

replace modifier are only supported by AdGuard for Windows, Mac, and Android and AdGuard Browser Extension for Firefox

This rule works, but that leaves behind empty spaces of course. If I try to record HAR with dev tools open, this happens. Would that be a problem? f

Could you please check if with these two rules the leftovers from the ads are removed?

Without applying any custom filters, I don't see the adblock popup anymore since late Friday night. For me at least, it's fixed without the need for making any changes. Was something changed? Anyway, you may close the issue. I'll reopen it if I see it again.

jellizaveta commented 1 year ago

No, nothing's changed. Thanks for the checks, if anything - feel free to mention me.

SeriousHoax commented 1 year ago

@jellizaveta Hello again! I tried it again today and the issue is back. Custom filter in your previous comment doesn't fix it. I also have Adguard Desktop installed on my PC (not actively using it). With ADG desktop, the adblocker detected message comes up after like 2 seconds. If logs like HAR can be recorded via ADG desktop, then let me know how because pressing F12 on browsers shows the paused in debugger thing that I shared in one of my previous comments. I see that there's an "Enable HAR writing" option in ADG desktop's advanced settings. If I enable that, then at which location that file would be saved?

SeriousHoax commented 1 year ago

In case you didn't notice my last comment. The issue remains.

jellizaveta commented 1 year ago

Sorry for the long reply. If you check only with the AdGuard extension, does the issue persist? Have you always had desktop AdGuard enabled at checkout?

SeriousHoax commented 1 year ago

No problem :) Same issue with extension alone and ADG desktop alone. I'm not running both at the same time. I just mentioned ADG desktop since it has an option to capture HAR file. I can capture it via ADG desktop if that would help you to find the problem. But I don't know where ADG desktop would save the file.

I cannot reproduce adblock detection.
