It doesn't look like an ads placeholder or a social button section, but it's hard to tell what exactly it even is.

An unqualified guess from looking at the F12 CSS tree, imply the game's publisher clicked on page admin buttons to enable 2 awards boxes, but only 1 of the boxes are actually in use.
