New advertisements have begun to appear on Twitter, and they are irritating. Determine how you can respond to them. Similar to Adguard, Ghostery and Ublock Origin failed to block these advertisements; this must be an instance of a new script injection. Kindly adjust your filters.
Thank you

for many months the filters have worked well in stopping these feed ads on X (formerly twitter) but today that all stopped and the ad posts are back again. I suspect possibly a filter update is needed? if so, this is just early notification to adguard on this. I tried clearing my cache already and refreshing browser but to no avail. something was changed on X to once again let the ad posts through on feeds. Username:

I have also added an element hiding rule which works fine on my end with English layout:
twitter.com##div[data-testid="cellInnerDiv"] > div > div[class] > div[class][data-testid="placementTracking"]
https://github.com/AdguardTeam/AdguardFilters/issues/166718#issuecomment-1820505478 - Please update filters and then check again.
That element is not in code on my Chrome desktop view.
$jsonprune
rule works only in apps (Android, Mac, Windows) and on my side, twitter.com##div[data-testid="cellInnerDiv"] > div > div[class] > div[class][data-testid="placementTracking"]
hide ads in Chrome.
So, could you please add additional rule to fix it?
Added. Of course other languages can show up. Have to monitor other languages from time to time.

Any update on this?
Did you manually update filters?
PWA is usually not fixable
Yes all filters are updated. Idk what PWA is
I was referring to one of the newer reports since you did not state which report is yours.
Also tried different language and also with US VPN, no ad. Is this happening in "Following" part of twitter or where exactly?
Mine is the latest one, it's happening on the For you tab and under any tweets.
Sadly none are displayed :( Created a new twitter account, but so far they do not want to show any ads yet. @AdguardTeam/filters-maintainers anyone can still reproduce?
I still have ads on twitter.com on Safari. プロモーション tweet is still there.

@BlazDT not reproduced on my end.
@Alex-302 @AdamWr @zloyden @Sergey-Lyapin @jellizaveta @BlazDT please take a look at https://github.com/AdguardTeam/AdguardFilters/issues/166718#issuecomment-1824776358
@rakleed Нужные правила есть. Это из-за service worker.
I guess that something like this:
||twitter.com^$csp=worker-src 'none'
could be used as a workaround. But I'm not sure if it will not cause breakage and it also requires to unregister currently registered service worker (it's regarding - https://github.com/AdguardTeam/AdguardFilters/issues/166718#issuecomment-1824776358).
@AdamWr I added this rule to the user rules, but I still have tracking parameters in the URL.
Did you unregister service worker? If not, you may need do the following:
twitter.com#%#(()=>{navigator.serviceWorker.getRegistrations().then((function(e){for(let r of e)r.unregister()}));})();
(The previous rule ||twitter.com^$csp=worker-src 'none'
is still required)
Now when you open link with tracking parameters it should be removed. If it's still not removed, please try to manually remove cache for Twitter and restart web browser.
(The previous rule
||twitter.com^$csp=worker-src 'none'
is still required)
- Clear website cache or refresh website using Ctrl+F5, on macOS it's probably Cmd+Shift+R
@AdamWr that was enough, thanks. Can you please add this rule to the AdGuard URL Tracking filter?
I'm not sure if it will not break something, like for example push notifications.
