@josep-b Hi. Do you have another network filtering software(antivirus)? It seems HTTPS filtering is not applied. Please try reboot, or contact support@adguard.com if it does not help.

Issue URL (Ads)

Comment

The AdGuard filter literally does not block any YouTube ad at all. I've been forced to see atleast 3-4 ads every 10 minute video, on top of the sponsored ads made by the creators. I hope you get it to work it properly else I'd have to use other adblockers Username: @RahulDhage6

@RahulDhage6 Hi. Did you try to refresh the page? Do you see ads on another sites, where ads were blocked?

Also please try to disable-enable content blockers in Safari settings and restart Safari, and check for filters update.

Hey Adguard Team!

I have down everything that you’ve mentioned for me to do, and yet the problem is persistent. Even after refreshing, or on every other site, I see a massive number of ads and pop-ups that are simply annoying and a pain to not click click on it by mistake. I thought using Adguard for Safari would fix the problem, but no avail. I hope you’d be able to help in any ways possible.

Thank you

@RahulDhage6 Hi

In case of Safari we just generate a filter, which is loaded by Safari ad blocking API. If you see ads an many sites, it seems filtering is not working, or content blockers are not enabled.

Please follow the steps below to fully uninstall AdGuard for Safari and reinstall it:

  1. Uncheck all AdGuard for Safari extensions in Safari -> Preferences -> Extensions (if available)
  2. Open Finder and press Shift+Command+G
    • Remove AdGuardSafariApp folder from ~/Library/Application Support directory
    • Remove from ~/Library/Containers - all directories started with AdGuard-
    • Remove TC3Q7MAJXF.com.adguard.safari.AdGuard folder from ~/Library/GroupContainers directory
    • Remove com.adguard.safari.AdGuard.plist from ~/Library/Preferences
  3. Open Activity Monitor and force quit all "cfprefsd" processes
  4. Remove AdGuard for Safari from Applications
  5. Install from AppStore and follow instructions.
