@jellizaveta absolutely, do you mean using File > Save As...
in Safari? It has 2 options for format: Page Source
and Web Archive
. Which option should I use?

Now it looks like this:
Still the same as the previous picture with the white rectangle. I tried with only imdb.com##.ipc-page-content-container > section.ipc-page-background:has(iframe[title="Advertisement"])
enabled and with both that and imdb.com###imdb-embeddable
enabled, deleting imdb website data in between each attempt.
I see ads only if I disable AdGuard. I suppose that the problem might be that HTTPS filtering doesn't work on this website for some reason, but I'm just guessing.
@grwthomps Could you please add this rule:
imdb.com##body
to user rules. Whole content of this website should be hidden, it's just for test purpose to check if HTTPS filtering and element hiding rules work correctly.
So I can confirm that adblocking works with https filtering enabled and also no user rules are needed.
Sorry, I definitely should have stated that I had disabled https filtering a while back because of issues I was having with some apps not working with it enabled. I went back through the reporting prompts to make sure I didn't miss a question about https filtering but I didn't see one. Maybe this is a question that should be added to the report prompts asked before an issue is created? I feel like it could save a lot of trouble.
Regardless, thank you both for your help. Sorry again.
Following up, as a test I completely uninstalled adguard for mac and the adguard assistant extension for Safari. Then I installed just the adguard for safari browser extension without adguard for mac or adguard assistant. It seems to block ads within Safari better than adguard for mac with adguard assistant (with https filtering off that is).
Am I understanding correctly that the benefit of adguard for mac is that it blocks things outside of Safari, has dns filtering, and provides a little more blocking with https filtering enabled?
Since https filtering causes me some issues and I primarily care about blocking ads within Safari, I might just use the basic adguard for safari extension rather than turning https filtering on/off.
