Hi. We need to know the source site. If redirect or opening of new tab is random, probably your system or browser is infected by adware Please scan your system using AdwCleaner

Thanks for the help sorting out Facebook in the past guys. Unfortunately "sponsored" ads are still showing on Facebook newsfeed again. I've updated to the latest version of Firefox and updated adguard + checked for filter updates etc but sponsored ads still show up. They also show up on Facebook.com/watch too now.

I think that in the case of the extension for Firefox, the problem is that JavaScript rules are blocked by website's Content Security Policy, related to - https://github.com/AdguardTeam/AdguardBrowserExtension/issues/2782 and https://github.com/AdguardTeam/AdguardBrowserExtension/issues/1733 As far as I can see, it should be fixed in 4.4 version.

Ads in Facebook web using chrome for Android will display ads and then quickly hide themselves. The problem lies in video ads, they will auto play and hide themselves, leaving an annoying ad sound that can't be stopped because there's no video to pause. Even if I pull the notification bar to stop the playing notification, it will not work correctly until I reload the website or start playing another video or music. Even that sometimes is not enough because when my overlapped video or music stops, the sound of the hidden video ad will resume playing in background.
