Issue URL (Annoyance)

https://www.oregonlive.com/

Comment

I have complained about this multiple times. Nothing ever seems to get done about it. Enabling the “Annoyances” filter (which seems to be your stock answer for everything) doesn’t fix it.

Adding the url to the allowlist doesn’t fix it. I have to turn AdGuard completely OFF (“Protection is OFF”) to make this site work.

This is about the 3rd or 4th report of this same problem over the last 18mo - 2yr.

The problem seems to be very intermittent. Sometimes the Admiral detector interstitial screen will not appear and the site works normally. Other times, I see the block page shown in the screen shot.

We block Admiral in this filter. Could you please test only with Base + Popups filter? After changing filters settings do not close AdGuard window ~90 seconds, because iOS will break configuration process. iOS 17 has bugs related to filtering. Traditionally, they add them in beta versions and then don't fix them in releases for a long time. One of these bugs (the root of the bug - in iOS) https://github.com/AdguardTeam/AdguardForiOS/issues/2337

which seems to be your stock answer for everything

Another answer:)

Please try to disable-enable content blockers in Safari settings and restart Safari, and check for filters update.

Neither one of these fixed the problem.

@sw030453 Please update AdGuard to 4.5.5, disable DNS protection, check for filters update (don't close AdGuard ~90 seconds), and test again.

OK

disable DNS protection

OK

check for filters update (don't close AdGuard ~90 seconds)

I got "Filter update error".

and test again.

I didn't get this far...

I rebooted my phone & got the filters updated. However, Admiral STILL appears on this site.
