AdGuard doesn't block YouTube's in-video ads. Rather, it removes the skip button and doesn't let me skip the ads. It is quite annoying, and I hope this gets patched very very soon. Username: @Fyphen1223

@Fyphen1223 Hi. Which filters versions?

Fyphen1223 commented 1 month ago

Well, I'm refreshing the entire filter by an hour... so I cannnot really tell the version, but I can just say I'm using the latest version of them.

x-rated commented 1 month ago

i dont have any ads on youtube in chrome with adguard extension 🤔 but on windows

Alex-302 commented 1 month ago

@Fyphen1223 Filters versions are available in AdGuard settings in filters lists.

@x-rated Is HTTPS filtering works? Do you see "regular" video ad, or something new? Are banners blocked?

x-rated commented 1 month ago

no banners, no video ads, everything clean on youtube for me 🤔 (on windows with 5.0.91)

Alex-302 commented 1 month ago

@x-rated I thought you had an ad with the program )

x-rated commented 1 month ago

no 😮 i was just surprised about this report about ads on youtube 🤔 if there were some, much more people would report it, i guess 🤔

Yeah I thought the same, and I got suspicious that no one has ever reported... Sometimes it works, sometime not.

The filters version: Base Filter: 2.3.53.61 Mobile Ads: 2.0.54.75

Is this enough?

x-rated commented 1 month ago

dont forget to update your extension to version 5.0.91 🤔 and try these settings adg_ext_settings_5.0.91_210924-140034.json

Can't submit an issue for some reason, but I've gotten a new ipad recently, but now video ads appear, yet won't play, all I can do is wait for the ad to go

Comment

Enabling AdGuard introduces a loading delay at the start of every video and when browsing the video list. The thumbnails of videos stay grey for about 15 seconds and a bit less I have to wait for the start of every video. Disabling AdGuard removes all these annoyances. Username: @Bushido1

Well, it sometimes work, sometimes doesn't work :(

Alex-302 commented 1 month ago

@S00pergang On iOS sometimes impossible to block an ad on YouTube with skipping. Free version can block a video, but don't skip it (iOS does not have native advanced rules support).

Alex-302 commented 1 month ago

@Bushido1 which one of five filters causes it? AdGuard Annoyances - contains all five parts.

Fyphen1223 commented 1 month ago

Now it doesn't block again...

Alex-302 commented 1 month ago

@Fyphen1223 Does it work in release Chrome?

Fyphen1223 commented 1 month ago

@Alex-302 well, I've never tested so I have no idea, but tbh, I don't think it will work in stable version of Chrome.

Alex-302 commented 1 month ago

Then I don't think we can help.
