4 years ago It seems it depends on the video commercial that is or is not displayed before the actual video. If the commercial is going through the adblocker and is played before the video then it works, if the commercial is blocked, then the video stays dark.

4 years ago Please check with AdGuard filters only. EasyList is not required as it is already implemented in our Base filter. I cannot reproduce with latest updates (also with third-party filters).

4 years ago @BlazDT All 3 issues not reproduced!? (well and the fourth... this scripting timeout is really annyoing sometimes... but whatever... I don't know how AdGuard is working here and why it sometimes fails)
I have tried to figure out which rule causes the Anti Adblock screen. After whitelisting 67 filtered rules (lol)........ I can't :( All I can say: The issue is in AdGuard Base filter. When it is active -> Anti Adblock Screen. When disable -> no nag screen.
Just watch this video:
Really EVERYTHING is white and green and it still popups. After disable the filter subscription and reload the page, all is fine (okay, it's not, because the news page turns into a completely Ad nightmare... with a little drip of news).
And thats the filtering log where everything is whitelisted, but still the Anti Adblock turns on:

I wouldn't say, it is a paywall, because you can bypass on the X and browse the page. So it's an Annoyance.
EDIT:
Oh and I wonder, I have never seen the Anti Adblock Screen yet on my iPhone XS with iOS 13.5.1 and AdGuard 4.0.0 and I am frequently on Spiegel.de. Why it's not active here?

4 years ago I was able to reproduce @Morku 's results. After disabling AdGuard Base Filter the site loads just fine and no window is opened.
I would also say that it's not a paywall, they want you to disable AdBlocking or to pay 5€/month to view the site ad free.

4 years ago Again, you can click X and continue. Of course they would like you to pay, like any other page would like earn money and any page who earn money by providing Ads.
This is why people will stop using AdGuard and return to uBlock Origin where this is blocked just fine. If there would be at least a converter to convert uBlock Syntax to AdGuard, I would create my own rules from uAssets, so if anyone knows? If "paywall" is all the help we can get, I am also forced to leave AdGuard sometimes, if a product will do the opposite job I owend it for and that would be sad since I really like AdGuard. But I want continue browsing the web without hassle.
