Crunchyroll ads aren’t blocked properly. Ads still show up in and out of full screen mode. On iPadOS of safari, ads are embedded within the video feed, as indicated by the unusually long time code on the second screenshot. Normal episodes average 24 minutes long, however this is nearly 27. Within full screen mode, ads can be skipped using safari’s built in skip 15 seconds however ads are still prevalent and slow down video scrubbing. Confirmed that all ads are blocked with AdGuardF extension using the same filters.

Edit: AdGuard Firefox extension blocks all ads, safari for iPadOS does not.

I don't see these ads even without AdGuard. Which region? Could you please try to check with Base filter only?

Here are my findings:

I am on the UK version of CrunchyRoll Turning off AdGuard showed the same results as the screenshots as well as showing ad banners and a "accept cookie" prompt. Turning on AdGuard but only using the base filter showed no change than having it turned off. Turning on AdGuard with all extra filters blocked ad banners and cookie prompts but failed to block ads embedded with video.

Version Running iOS 14.5 Public Beta 3 AdGuard running with latest version and filters.

@AlexA1S In some videos I see ads without AdGuard. With AdGuard I don't see ads. I use UK VPN.

Please try to disable-enable content blockers in Safari settings and restart Safari, and check for filters update. Do not close AdGuard window 30-60 seconds.

@Alex-302, not reproduced with AG on with Chrome and iOS+Safari. On Safari i get 2-3 sec of black loading screen where ads are supposed to be, then video proceeds normal.

@Alex-302 I have tried everything you have suggested and there are still ads. Stanislav's observations are similar to mine, where there is a black screen for 3 seconds while it loads. However for me when it loads and I press "Play" an ad is still served and is embedded within the video. With a message on the video stream saying "Ad 1 of 1". There are some other people in this thread that have the same issue too.

Hello! AdGuard is amazing and used to block every ad on Crunchyroll. I went on Crunchyroll today and ads have started appearing in the videos regularly, though there doesn't seem to be any ads anywhere else on the website. It's just in the video. There would be one ad at the beginning, then at least 6 ads throughout the video at different times.

When using Safari for Mac, I have the same experience as @AlexA1S where the video stops for 2-3 seconds before serving ads. However, when using Adguard For Mac (Desktop application) or the browser extension for Firefox, ads are properly stopped. Seems like only IOS and Mac Safari have this issue.
