I cant find how to block ads in this app. I goto the logs, block just about everything and ads still show. Wvery article shows about 4 ads. Adguard on or off the ads show.

As you never add a history to your replies im unsure which app your talking about.Thats a major thing you need to do. As you can see at the top adguard is on (the 2nd right button in blue meaning its on and working). In the shaded bottom you can see an ad with the play icon over it. That does play when i get rid of the notification tab. Usually there are at least 4 ads per article, longer articles have more ads. Ive tried stopping them but nothing worked. They are the main ads in just about any app, lots of news apps show this kind of ad so why cant you just block the source of the ads for all apps?

Hi. In emails contain the link to GitHub - https://github.com/AdguardTeam/AdguardFilters/issues/93083 This is original report, were you can reply using your GitHub account(just open in browser).

As you can see at the top adguard is on (the 2nd right button in blue meaning its on and working). In the shaded bottom you can see an ad with the play icon over it. That does play when i get rid of the notification tab.

Could you please press i icon on the banner and show details? It looks loke a dummy of blocked ad(can be checked with and without AdGuard). Or it country related. I don't see ads in long fresh articles from the main page without AdGuard. Where do you live(country or region)

why cant you just block the source of the ads for all apps?

In general we block ad servers without domain or app limits(Google ads or many others).

Having the hisyory/original/reply in the email is the way to go. Everyone else does it. Helps you know what your replying too and keeps us updated and knowledgeable to the conversation.Having to go to an external link/website isnt helpful. Like now me typing i can see a --original message -- which is what you should get also. So you know what's been said and reply accordingly. Ive had multiple times you reply and i have no idea what your talking about. This time for example i thought you were talking about a different app which always shows a full screen ad. Never blocks it. Thats 3 apps from the same dev doing the same thing. Ill keep that to another post ill do soon.Now back to this app, the age...Its geolocked i believe to australia? Maybe not? And me being in Australia and its home of Victoria i can see it without geolocks. But i do get ay least 4 ads per article.Ive tried blocking things manually but they still show.Ive tried turning things on and off in adguard and nothing i do will stop the ads.Its a Samsung Note 9. Latest eveything (Android 11 i think) as thats the latest for it. Was updated last month.Adguard is set up update daily so its the latest of everything and fully updated.Its not rooted so i cant do those ad blocking things.Now to your replies.The email replies.... check above.The i icon. I click it. Flashed blue and nothing happens. Ok, i just tried it on my tablet and it does block all ads. But thats a Samsung Note 20.1 2014 edition on Android 5.My Note 9 on Android 11 is showing ads.Same app version, same adguard version and settings i would believe. Ill check but the tablet version of adguard is 100% stock, nothing changed or added. No manual blocks as all i do is turn it on and off, i never mess with the settings on the tablet. But i did personalise the Note 9 adguard. Last update. You receive email notifications from GitHub. We cannot change it. All history is available in github web site(github is public service).

Now back to this app, the age...Its geolocked i believe to australia? Maybe not?

It is possible. Cheched with Australian VPN, but still do not see ads:(

Maybe local proxy mode is used on Note 20.1? In this case AdGuard cannot intercept all traffic. Do you see VPN icon on this device and blocked requests from this app in the filtering log?

I don't know. I guess this app's traffic is not go through AdGuard.

Or should i delete and reinstall adguard and reset it back to stock?

Yes. You can backup your settings and reinstall after reset settings and check with clean settings(and import previous if it is necessary).

Which screenshot? If you add images to email reply, GitHub removes them when posting to the site.

Today i loaded up The Age app. Clicked on an article and what do i see? Ads. This article has 4 video ads in it. So the whole deleting, reinstalling, setting up again didnt fix it. Its like adguard isnt turned on but it is. I rurned it off and back on, stopped the age, restarted it and still see ads.

So far, the age, the 3 card games apps all show ads and adguard is running.

Im going to have to test out more apps as i dont think adguard is working anymore even that its turned on, ads are still showing everywhere.

Is there a google service which shows ads? I did go through the app management and stop adguard working on a few system apps and other apps i dont want blocked like banking etc. Maybe its one of those system or google apps thats letting ads show up not the app like the age itself?
