Postpone adguard activity in full screen mode #4447

Hi I have a suggestion to postpone upgrade or filter update for adguard in full screen/gaming mode window for best performance possible. I had small lag issue here and there when adguard updating forcing me to disable the auto update.

What kind of lag do you face when an update is available?

It’s like lag/freeze for a few seconds when adguard updating filters in the background, especially when all filters updating at once. All apps running in the background respect the full screen mode (gaming mode) for best performance possible. I hope to see that also in adguard.

@githubuser013 I'm sorry for a delay, could you also tell me for how long you propose to postpone an update? I wish there were more details about this suggestion.

@Aydinv13 Hi again, It’s basically adguard don’t upgrade or update and does not display notifications when you play games or run applications in full-screen mode. while schedule run at time of full screen mode keep it (on hold), until you exit the full screen game/app after that its directly go live for upgrade/updates its useful future especially for gaming community.

We will think about the implementation, but later. Running the program in fullscreen is not generally a prerequisite for not updating filters. You can disable filter updates via Settings. Nevertheless, we are exploring the issue of reducing the single-step load during filter updates (e.g. updating partially).
