Issue Details

Steps to reproduce first issue:

  1. Activate adguard with adguard dns protection on.
  2. Connect to any servers on F-Secure VPN.

Steps to reproduce Second issue:

  1. Activate adguard with dns disabled because of the first issue.
  2. enable stealth mode and all other security/privacy settings in adguard.
  3. Connect to any servers on F-Secure VPN.
  4. Try visiting any website you should get longer loading time or site can't be reached error.

Actual Behavior

Issue one: i activated adguard and with all settings including dns protection and then i launched F-Secure Freedome VPN and tried to connect to a server, vpn was unable to connect. this issue was fixed by disabling adguard dns protection.

Issue two: i activated adguard and without dns protection (every other setting was on) and the i launched F-Secure VPN and connected to a server without any issues but when i tried to visit a website i noticed a huge slow down on page loading and received site can't be reached error. this issue was fixed by disabling stealth mode setting in adguard.

Expected Behavior

Issue one: the vpn should have connected to its server without forcing me to turn off adguard dns protection.

issue two: the website should have been accessible without to disabling adguard stealth mode setting.

У меня если включен AdGuard 7.16, то F-Secure Freedome VPN 2.69.35.0 не может подключиться к серверам, но если отключить AdGuard 7.16, то F-Secure Freedome VPN 2.69.35.0 без проблем подключается. PS: Если использовать AdGuard 7.16 и Avira Phantom VPN Pro 2.43.1.16819 одновременно, то проблем никаких нет.

@IJD910 Greetings! Try any of this actions:

  1. Reset your settings to default (Settings -> General settings).
  2. Turn off any antivirus apps running on your PC.
  3. Un-check "Filter localhost" (Settings -> General settings -> Advanced settings).
  4. If it doesn't help, try our latest nightly version.

@KolbasovAnton Followed your instructions but still have the same issue. also did a bit of testing using my own extensive troubleshooting method but without much of success.

Here is what i tried so far.

  1. Downloaded latest windows 10 iso and installed it on a backup drive.
  2. Installed latest version of adguard and f-secure vpn.
  3. Launched adguard and activated the same setup i used when i sent the bug report.
  4. Launched f-secure vpn and tried to connect to Singapore server without any success.
  5. Disabled adguard dns protection and f-secure worked fine.
  6. Visited duckduckgo.com and the site was loaded without any issues.

Connected main drive and repeated step 2 to 5 with same results but when i revisited duckduckgo.com, i received the same old 'Site can't be reached error' and it was fixed by disabling stealth mode in adguard.

@Cursone Avira Phantom VPN worked for me as well but problem is that i have a 2 year subscription active on f-secure vpn, so i can't exactly switch to another vpn service at least for next 2 years and honestly if i had a choice i would have most likely switched to either Avira Phantom or adguard vpn or some other vpn service provider.

Если отключить ДНС защиту, то все в порядке. Но если она включена, то есть проблема.

Или Вас эта проблема не интересует? Судя по дате последнего сообщения в данной теме.

@Cursone Проверьте, пожалуйста, в вкл. фильтрацией DNS, но выберите нефильтрующий сервер AdGuard и выключите фильтр(s) DNS. Если проблема не возникнет - включите фильтр DNS и проверьте снова. Если проблема снова возникнет - откройте журнал фильтрации, повторите проблему и экспортируйте его. И прикрепите как ZIP архив сюда.

Проверял ( толку от этого нет ) и логи не раз отправля, но в ответ тишина. Я предложил Вам проверить это на своей стороне, но Вы проигнорировали.

Update: the issue is still not fixed and there is no explanation on why this might be happening, tbh i expected better support from adguard team.....

На Windows 8.1 и на Windows 10 данный баг воспроизводится.

F-Secure Freedome VPN 2.69.35.0 нормально работает с версией AdGuard 7.14. Начиная с версии AdGuard 7.15 больше не дружит с F-Secure Freedome VPN 2.69.35.0

Three month since the issue was first reported and its still NOT FIXED?!? Honestly i can't say I'm not disappointed, also i am giving up on expecting this issue to be fixed anytime soon or ever so feel free to close this issue in whatever way you want to, there won't be any further reply from me...

@IJD910 , @Cursone , sorry for the hude delay. We just repro the issue no.1 on our side with the latest nighly (tbh we've hoped our last changes could be the clue), and will fix the issue in the nearest release

@IJD910 @Cursone We are updating the filtering drivers in our app, could you please check out this build? This may fix the compatibility problem. Please, before the update export your settings to be able to roll back to your current version in case of some issues.
