Я стал практически постоянно сталкиваться с этой ошибкой в плеере HTML5 и при попытке открыть исходный код фрейма на указанном сайте. Помогает справиться с ней включение в браузере Firefox 115.13.0esr расширения VPN.

Hi @Mibrechou

Unfortunately, we were unable to reproduce this issue on our end. To troubleshoot it, we need to get the app logs. Here's what we need you to do:

  1. Collect the debug log as it's explained here.
  2. Remember the exact time when the issue was reproduced. We will need it to find the corresponding records in the log file.
  3. Send the archive to devteam@adguard.com and mention this issue number in the subject.
AlexandrPkhm commented 1 month ago

@Mibrechou

Additionally, could you please let us know if you have Bitdefender antivirus installed on your device?

Batman2814 commented 1 month ago

I have been having the same issue with fiirefox browser for Windows. The only way to get the page to load without that error page popping up was too disable HTTPS filtering in AdGuard Browser Assistant from the extension addon in firefox which is connected to AdGuard Adblocker for Windows. This problem is only on half the sites for example the AdGuard DNS website I have to disable HTTPS in the AdGuard browser Assistant to load the page.

AlexandrPkhm commented 1 month ago

@Batman2814 Could you please let us know if you are running Bitdefender antivirus software?

Mibrechou commented 1 month ago

Hello

I have to inform you : Bitdefender is installed on my Device

Yes, I am running Bitdefender Total Security Antivirus, but I also have AdGuard Adblocker for Windows in the Exclusions list in the Bitdefender settings.

AlexandrPkhm commented 1 month ago

@Mibrechou @Batman2814

We have investigated this issue, and it appears that all affected users have Bitdefender installed. As far as we know, the latest Bitdefender antivirus update caused this issue for Firefox browser, as there are no non-Bitdefender users affected.

According to feedback, the fix is to reinstall Firefox and delete all app data files for the Firefox browser.

Batman2814 commented 1 month ago

Could you please provide me with the detailed steps to delete app data files for the Firefox browser? I want to ensure that I have followed the correct procedure because I did that, and I believe I did, but nothing was fixed after reinstalling the Firefox browser. Thank you for your assistance.

Batman2814 commented 1 month ago

Also, if I turn off AdGuard Adblocker for Windows, The Firefox Windows browser can load all webpages without that error. So, can AdGuard put out an update to fix this issue?

Mibrechou commented 1 month ago

  1. I too have the same issue and I am using Bitdefender.
  2. Uninstalling and reinstalling firefox doesn't work. I have tried it. No point. App data, registry, delete profiles, nothing works.
  3. To uninstall completely, use Revo uninstaller pro as Trial version. It automatically searches for all app data, profiles folder, registry etc and you can chose to delete them completely. {COMPLETELY UNINSTALL FIREFOX} Uninstall Firefox first using control panel or settings(win 11) after that,

Type "%Programdata%" in search bar and click enter. Then delete the folder named Mozilla.

Type "%Appdata%" in search bar and click enter. Then delete the folder named "Mozilla". Then go one level up in the folders by clicking Alt+Up arrow. You'll see three folders named "Local", "LocalLow" and "Roaming". As you've already deleted the "Mozilla" folder from "Roaming", do the same for above two folders "Local" and "LocalLow".

Open registry editor, by typing "regedit" in search bar.

Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER>>SOFTWARE. Delete the entry named "Mozilla". Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>>SOFTWARE. Delete the entries "Mozilla" and "mozilla.org". Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>>SOFTWARE>>WOW6432Node. Delete the entries "Mozilla" and "MozillaPlugins".

Close the registry editor and you're good to go.

I have tried to uninstall and reinstall and it doesn't work. I have tried to contact Bitdefender support. But I don't think that's going to help. Because I do not know too much technical details to provide them about adguard issue.. I think adguard should fix it from their end or find some workaround. If adguard know for sure that Bitdefender is causing it, and gives us some kind of logs which shows the issue, then I can forward the same to the Bitdefender support. Else, I don't think they are going to help us with this.

  1. I am using this temporary workaround, Go to Adguard settings, Select Network, and Uncheck "Filter HTTPS Protocol" and everything will work fine. Adguard, Bitdefender, everything works fine. No browser errors also.
  2. Another workaround is, use Adguard Extension until this is resolved. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/adguard-adblocker/

Hi @AlexandrPkhm I have the same issue as other guys. What I noticed after my investigation is that if I disable the setting in:

AdGuard - Network - Use WFP network driver

then everything starts working. The temporary solution that I found, I hope it will be useful for you guys and for your further investigation of this issue.

Batman2814 commented 1 month ago

To resolve the issue of websites not loading, I deactivated the "Encrypted Web Scan" feature within Bitdefender Total Security.

Batman2814 commented 1 month ago

I sent logs to Bitdefender Support, and they replied, "We are currently working on a fix that will be applied via automatic updates and won't require any additional action on your part."

PieKnu commented 1 month ago

Glad to see I'm not the only one who discovered and found the solution. I was just about to post a bug report here until I double-checked to see if someone else was faster. Big thumbs up for contacting BitDefender directly, @Batman2814 ! 👍

The solution 'for the moment' is indeed to disable "Encrypted Web-Scan" located in the "Online Threat Prevention" tab.

AlexandrPkhm commented 1 month ago

@Batman2814 Thank you for the provided solution. We will make sure to pass that information to everyone affected by the issue.

@Mibrechou As to this GitHub issue, we will close it as there is nothing we can do in this case.

zubrRB commented 1 month ago

У меня нет Bitdefender, но есть проблема с PR_END_FILE_ERROR.)

mitheshge commented 1 month ago

@zubrRB

I don't have Bitdefender, but I have a problem with PR_END_FILE_ERROR.)

Oops!! They just closed it. You got to reopen it and provide them with the logs etc.. Because if it an issue from adguard, then it is not a Bitdefender issue, then, everyone who uses Bitdefender gets affected and would receive late updates. Because, as of now, many are affected by it, thinking Bitdefender would provide an update. I have done a workaround as well so that I can browse without getting an error. You got to reopen it and provide them with the logs as mentioned above.
