Reinstalled 7.17, imported settings from file, and can confirm the issue is only with 7.18

Hi @lennihein

As we can see, you have encountered this issue on AdGuard 7.18. Currently, the latest release is 7.18.1. Could you please try to install it and check if the issue persists there.

lennihein commented 3 months ago

Hi @AlexandrPkhm First of all thank you for helping with the issue! Yesterday I updated from the stable to the at-the-time-current nightly channel build. I could try stable 7.18.1 again later, but I doubt that it will be different.

AlexandrPkhm commented 3 months ago

@lennihein If the issue was reproducible on the latest nightly, could you please send us the application logs from this version. We will need them to diagnose the issue.

Here's what we need you to do:

  1. Collect the debug log as it's explained here.
  2. Remember the exact time when the issue was reproduced. We will need it to find the corresponding records in the log file.
  3. Send the archive to devteam@adguard.com and mention this issue number in the subject.

@lennihein Any news on this issue?

lennihein commented 3 months ago

@AlexandrPkhm sorry, some unfortunate events required my attention.

I now have recorded the logs in a Windows Sandbox, to further isolate the issue. An email should have reached you guys.

Thanks again for your help 😊

AlexandrPkhm commented 3 months ago

@lennihein Thanks for the provided logs. Could you please also let us know if you have any custom user rules added?

lennihein commented 3 months ago

Not really, apart from disabling Spotify and Facebook (not fit for published filterlist):

||spotify.com
||facebook.com

Otherwise I try to move any fixes I do locally to my Filterlist LostAd

I have installed the Filter variant as an Adblock Filter and the DNS variant under DNS protection.

Hi, @lennihein! To help narrow down the source of the problem, could you please:

  1. Try disabling the filters one by one and check if disabling a specific filter resolves the issue.
  2. Open the filtering log and keep it recording while reproducing the issue.
  3. Export the filtering log and send it to devteam@adguard.com, mentioning this issue number in the subject.
vankos commented 2 months ago

@lennihein, since we cannot reproduce the problem on our side, we can't resolve it without your help. Therefore, I am closing the issue for now. If the problem occurs again, please feel free to reopen the issue or create a new one.

I'm also going through the same issue It seems to prevent excessive use of #$# phrases unconditionally You must create a way to force the user to turn it off

lennihein commented 1 week ago

The issue persists on 7.19
