AdGuard extension gone after installing pro #2313

Issue Details

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Install AdGuard Pro
  2. “AdGuard Pro is no longer available” appears on safari

Expected Behavior

Extension should appear in the list of safari extensions

Actual Behavior

Installing adguard pro doesn’t make the safari extension appear

Additional Information

Installing adguard non pro exposes the extension just fine

@dyharlan I tried to reproduce, but I don't get the error. Could you please send a screenshot of the error? Also please see the system log after repeating the error, maybe there is an error from the extension. Go to Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Analytics & Improvements -> Analytics data Check if there is something with the name ProSafariWebExtension

I don’t see any analytic data with that name, and I forgot to mention, the message only appeared once.

From what I understand, it automatically thinks that i’ve uninstalled the extension which is why it’s not showing?

@dyharlan it's hard to say, maybe somehow an old update was applied and safari detected it as an unworkable extension. Anyway it would be nice to have a system log to see what's wrong, because the error was in safari Then I will close this issue for now, but if the problem recurs in the future, please check Analytics data immediately and reopen the issue
