For I am a chinese, because of the GFW, I have to use the SS to get messages from such as twitter, u2b and so on, but when I enable the DNS feature in this app, I could not use the SS with the app which develop with the iOS Network Extension feature. So I wonder is it possible to integrate the SS feature with this app so I can use the DNS and SS the same time. Thanks!

In theory, it is possible, but it won't be easy for sure. Let's keep this feature request open, maybe in future we'll find an easier way.

Thanks for your reply. In fact I found an app called "Quantumult" on App Store yesterday, and it works perfectly with your DNS and the SS on my phone. Thanks again for your reply and your amazing DNS!

This seems more of an outgoing link to a paid, proprietary app than a sudden revelation of a solution. There are many available apps that give users a device-side GUI to use to connect to a SOCKS5, shadowsocks, or literally any type of home server. Just as with the above advertised $4.99USD proprietary app, they all require knowledge and installation of a home, properly self-config’d, proxy server. One I randomly, and quickly, discovered has its source code hosted here on Github just like Adblock Pro does. https://GitHub.com/txthinking/brook - it in fact provides more features, including not only an implentation of (the weaker) shadowsocks protocal but also includes a SOCKS5 proxy interface.

@X8716e Thank you for your reply. And now I'm using V2ray with Kitsunebi, which is more powerful and safety.

@SIDmao,

I'm happy my message was taken for what & how I meant it - a source of information. I'm strongly pro-open source, more specifically Free and Open Source Software (though it applies to more than software). Technically 'Free' in this sense is defined by the Free Software Foundation as "free as in freedom" not "free as in beer". So long as all source code is freely available for public scrutiny and security auditing, a developer who chooses to package and sell pre-built binaries is free to do so, though if the end product doesn't properly function, lacks active develeopment, or is over-costly, it ensures that others may compile the source themselves or find free (in cost and source) alternatives. In today's world, the latter options are generally the norm as GitHub is but one of many code repos freely available to all who are searching. 🙂
