User guide images open invalid links upon clicking them #11

Most images in the user guide contain a link behind them, which does not lead to a valid URL. This may inconvenience users as they may expect the link to lead to a valid website. A user could also accidentally click these images while scrolling, further inconveniencing the user.

Team's Response

This does not hinder the user at all. The picture still demonstrates the relevant information that the user needs.

 Issue response

Team chose [response.NotInScope]

Reason for disagreement: I disagree, and strongly believe that having links behind images that do not lead anywhere will hinder the readers on multiple occasions:

  1. The user might believe that there is some extra information to learn from upon hovering on every image since the cursor changes to a pointer (like on any regular link).
  2. Upon clicking, the user might believe that some (possibly important) information that was supposed to be related to the image is not viewable.
  3. Accidentally clicking while scrolling over the image would lead to an abrupt and unexpected prompt, causing further inconvenience, even if a reader assumes that the dev team made a mistake and there is no missing external resource.

Based on these reasons, the issue should be considered in scope for the project.

Picked low severity here since I believe the issue falls between low and medium.
