Parameter estimation for complex physical problems often suffers from finding ‘solutions’ that are not physically realistic. The PEUQSE software provides tools for finding physically realistic parameter estimates, graphs of the parameter estimate positions within parameter space, and plots of the final simulation results.
Currently, the log file includes the standard deviation of the posterior, but not the quartiles. It would be good to include the quartiles also. And then an option for plotting the quartiles instead of the standard deviation. This is useful not only for asymmetric distributions, but also (more importantly) when somebody wants to use the MAP rather than mu_AP after sparse sampling.
