Stylistic changes (PEP8, packaging)

Hi Ola,

find attached a first tentative polishing of the code: for now I've just changed the files so that scoary becomes a proper python package, and corrected most of the stylistic inconsistencies.

More things I would like to do:

• establish a proper setup.py script to make it easy to install
• proper unit tests (offline and through TravisCI, plus code coverage)
• finish the porting to python3 (it doesn't throw exceptions anymore under python3 but the program is not working properly, leading to huge memory usage; will have to inspect closely why this happens).

Hi Marco. This looks very good. Thank you very much. I'm curious about what's causing the python3 problems. Merging this into master.
