Add "contributors" page to forum #17

via Kirk: a page to list and display info about all contributors / partners at once.

Andrew: Let's make sure this page is populated by the pictures and signatures of all forum contributors with the "officer" role in our database.

We may want to create one additional tag or role for "partners" - i.e. the current admissions officers who are paying us to join the forum. They should get top billing and a school logo too.

Jordan: Awesome, @AndrewMagliozzi would you mind writing out the exact content that would appear for 1 sample partner?

I want to keep this page simple.

{officer profile picture} (officer signature) {officer karma} --> visible only to officers and admins

For partner schools, I'd also like things to be simple:

{school logo} (school name)

Right now, we only have St. Anselm College, but we'll likely be adding Arizona State and others soon. Rather than hard-coding these, we may want a collection or JS file that we can easily modify.

@daulerio, do you agree with this vision for the forum contributors page?

So if someone hovers over the profile picture, they can see the signature and bio?

This is ready with the exception of complete description text for the partner. @AndrewMagliozzi: can you provide copy?

AndrewMagliozzi commented 9 years ago

Here goes:

"Saint Anselm is located on a hilltop overlooking Manchester, N.H. within an hour of the seacoast, Boston, the White Mountains, and New Hampshire's Lakes Region. It was founded in 1889 by the Benedictines - a 1500 year-old Catholic order."

FYI, this is the source: http://www.anselm.edu/About-Saint-Anselm.htm

Alright, it's on staging. Once you're ready to sign off I can push to production.

Note: Kirk currently has two user accounts which have responded to questions on the forum: "Kirk D" and "kirk@admithub.com"; currently, both will appear on the contributor's page. A fix for this would be to change the userId for the comments under one to the other. Might be a good idea to delete the other user account once done too.

Hey Charlie,

The "other" Kirk is me posting on his behalf. We can migrate the posts from my account to his, but please don't delete me. :-(

OK, but do be aware that any posting you make under that account will cause it to appear on the contributors page again.

AndrewMagliozzi commented 9 years ago

Gotcha. I'll just hijack kirk's account next time.
