For me it looks like the additional hardware is being detected. Everything is working fine but only the external monitor connected via DVI cable remains dark. Any suggestions to get it working appreciated.
Btw. my Toshiba-TV (1920x1080) attached via HDMI cable is working just fine so in general Displaylink-debian seems to work.
Anybody out there? Perhaps vacation time?
Hi, I am a newbie on Linux and any help is appreciated. When Diplaylink-debian driver failed to work as expected on my ASUS ZenBook UX305CA (see https://github.com/AdnanHodzic/displaylink-debian/issues/949) I tried to install it on my newer ASUS ZenBook UX434 (Distro: LMDE 6 Faye, further details see attached system information). On my first attempt I installed Diplaylink-debian with NVIDIA nouveau driver but this failed. LMDE hung after rebooting. On my second attempt I installed with NVIDIA proprietary driver (NVIDIA Corporation GP108BM [GeForce MX250], further details see nvidia-detect.txt). When this attempt also failed and LMDE again hung after reboot this time I started a Live-Session and renamed the 20-displaylink.conf. Now the system rebooted normally but still the external monitor is not working. I followed the Post Installation Guide but I could not get the external monitor working. Attached I send the debug information (see UX434_DisplayLink_Debian_DebugInfo.txt. Note: Provider 5: id: 0x23f cap: 0x0 crtcs: 0 outputs: 0 associated providers: 0 name:NVIDIA-G0 When I run
xrandr --setprovideroutputsource 5 0
I get the folowing error:What can I do to get the external monitor working with my ASUS docking station. Thank you for your help.
