Password not encrypted when accessing a site using Integrated Windows Authentication (IWA) #62

When an extension accessing a site configured with Integrated Windows Authentication (IWA), users are prompted with JavaScript prompts for user name and password. But the password users typed in are plain text. Use https://ipa.demo1.freeipa.org/ipa/ui/ for testing image If you type in the same URL in chrome browser, you will get a different prompt and the password is encrypted. image

This is a known issue. We have a task to improve it in our backlog. Thanks

This is a pretty urgent issue for us as well. Any chance we can boost priority on this? Is there any work around to think of?
