Hi @alibrahi - I checked with Engineering and here is their response: "A user has to be an admin to be able to access the Data Governance Privacy Labeling UI. Having access to a report suite is not sufficient.
@MicaPete I tested this prior to submitting the commit. Internally as long as I have access to a report suite (without being an admin) the Data Governance Privacy Labeling UI appears.
I tested and gave myself access to just one report suite and then it showed up in the UI.
Thereafter, I confirmed with marijka@adobe.com who stated that the test was correct.
OK, @alibrahi, we are looking into this further...
@alibrahi - Engineering took a look at the code for the menu which is how users should be accessing the UI. They do indeed have to be an admin in order for that menu item to appear. There is not any explicit code in our UI that would block a user from using it if they had the URL for the UI though.
Does that make sense?
@MicaPete so in my test I didn't have a direct URL. I didn't make myself an admin and just gave myself a single report suite as access and the menu appeared.
Also that is the only thing that appeared since I didn't give myself access to the other menu items.
So my ask is that we update the documentation reflecting that users do not have to be an Analytics Admin, which is what is communicated in it now.
@alibrahi - we will do some more testing. What you have encountered might be a bug, because Engineering is still fairly certain that you have to be an admin for the menu item to appear. Thanks for your patience.
@MicaPete thanks, that's what it seems like. In any case I just wanted to have the documentation reflect the current status.
Updated the docs
The documentation is not clear that as long as a user has access to a report suite under Admin Console they'll be able to see Data Governance Privacy Labeling section under Admin UI in Analytics.
