I am T3 with Adobe AEM and I needed to dig into so many external articles in order to get this going.

Here are the issues

  1. Check the tickboxes for SMPT use StarTLS and SMTP requires StarTLS this makes 0 sense its only StartTLS that is needed why is it there 2 times, also you have a typo in a 4 letter word its SMTP, not SMPT
  2. The Day CQ Mail service still requires a user to map the oAuth flow to see here https://github.com/ccrusius/auth-source-xoauth2/issues/5 Screen Shot 2022-03-04 at 10 45 48 AM
  3. You need to turn off 2 Factor Authentication and allow Less Secure Apps if you want to use Gmail https://stackoverflow.com/questions/43511080/mailconnectexception-couldnt-connect-to-host-port-smtp-gmail-com-465-timeo

I haven't tried it with MS365 yet but I can just imagine that's also wrong.
