We have a directory of some work that is currently in openjdk-test-tools called SmartMedia, probably needs its own repo.
There are expensive commercial products that help people tie social media activity to download and engagement statistics, but there was no open-source equivalent. We had started to pull together a work-in-progress (WIP) story (based off of a Jumpstart program/hackathon that we helped run).
We started creating some tools that would help ANY open-source project track and relate their social media activity to their download/fork/engagement metrics, with the plan to be able to apply deeper analytics in future. We, of course want to use this to track AdoptOpenJDK stuff, but making it generic enough to be useful for any open-source project.
This issue is to ask TSC if they are okay for us to create a repo to host this work as part of AdoptOpenJDK.
For now, will move this code out to its own git repo (outside of AdoptOpenJDK). We can consider pulling it in as part of new dashboard work at a later time if it desired or makes sense.
