Pokemon Stadium: gym doesn't load

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start a battle in Brock's gym
2. Quit the battle instantly
3. Start a battle at Mistys gym

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The battle loads longer as usual. It doesn't load at all if you play with
a high speed. Darkness replaces the arena.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I tried Glide64 Napalm WX 1 and r254 with the same Issue.
Windows7 32 bit graphic card: ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT
