My organisation has open sourced its reporting component libraries. We use them to great effect with our clients in our end products.
UnlockedData.Mapael seems to the only wrapper of a vectormap library that I can find. We also created a utility to help with data visualisation that will pick appropriate sizes and create automatic legends/labels
