4 years ago I understand the logic behind the current blocks, players most likely have a lot of them, but in my opinion, you should be able to throw every block and item into a black hole to generate power. Obviously you wouldn't want to throw some things in there, like draconic armor from Draconic Evolution, because it is very expensive to craft, but I see no reason why it shouldn't work. There should be a config option which switches the whitelist into a blacklist, and allows everything besides those listed items.
The black hole generators should also be buffed imo, because when you have a warp capable starship, you most likely can already produce those amounts of RF, so I suggest bumping it up to at least let's say 5000 RF/t (it should use items at double the rate though).
You can change the power output in the configs.
