Easier migration of existing CPTs into ACF

It would be great if there was an easy path for migrating existing custom post types and taxonomies into ACF. Could something be added to the tools menu to essentially copy an existing post type/taxonomy into ACF? To avoid conflicts, the post types created by this tool could be marked as not active, so the workflow would be:

• import existing CPT into ACF using tools menu
• remove existing CPT registration code from your theme or plugin
• edit the ACF CPT and mark it as active
