setting config overwrites changes #19

When a change is made to the config, for example, when saving a "previous file" after a "save as", this change is not retained when the final version of the file is saved when the program exists.

fixed in 68c46bb. While at it got rid of the "use w/o save" option on config vars. The reason is that when that was used, the changes would get saved upon exit.
