Can't connect to homey bridge #41

I can't connect the switchbot bot to the homey bridge.

I do get the bot linked to the switchbot app. I've reset the bridge several times, waited for power off and plugged it back in. I have also removed the bridge once and added it back to my account. The bot is next to the bridge, so the distance for the ble is small enough. I also choose the bot ble in the homey app.

The bot has been updated to the latest firmware and so is homey.

Have you enabled cloud access for the bot in the Switchbot phone app? The tile should have a small cloud ☁️ on it.

No I don't have enabled the cloud access because I don't have the hub. I wanted to connect the bot with ble to the homey bridge.

Ah, sorry I misunderstood and thought it was the Switchbot hub, my brain fart. Unfortunately the BLE on the Homey bridge is not great. This is probably not what you want to hear but I would recommend getting the Switchbot hub as its much more reliable.

Np, thanks for the advice I will be looking to buy a hub then. Thanks for the help

Hi both, Facing the same issue, the SwitchBot just wont show up for Homey Bridge (not even in the devtools page). @M3ss3m did you end up getting the Switchbot hub, or did you find a way without it? It seems so strange that the Homey Bridge picks up lots of other BT devices, just not the switchbot. Ah well…

I did get the switchbot hun mini. Now the bot shows with no problems in homey. The only thing is that the hub needs in a somewhat close proximity with the bot. I had the hub on my attic and on the ground floor the bot was just out of reach, I think because the bot did nothing. In closer proximity, same room, everything works perfect en the bot is controllable by homey.

Good to know that that works better. Thanks for the super speedy response!
