Is there a way to make flows with the SwitchBot indoor camera. To setup for example privacy mode when you arrive at home and turn it off when you leave.

The camera can't be controlled by the API (I presume it's for security). So all it can be used for is a motion detector.

With the SwitchBot app on the smartphone it works perfectly. So what is the difference?

The app has to use the official API where their phone app uses there secret API.

You can add an issue there as well to request the features are added to the API, but they don't respond very often.

Note: there is already an issue requesting that feature so maybe add your vote to it.
