The error means that the device actually refused to allow the connection. If you have connected via IP then then this is deemed to be a valid connection as the device must have been there to refuse the connection. If you have connected via a port then this is bad as the service is unavailable.
If you are checking a phone then be aware they will often go to sleep when not being used and switch off the WiFi to save power.
Its connect via IP. I have static ip on the phone and router.I have wifi power save mode OFF on the phone.Skickat från min Galaxy -------- Originalmeddelande --------Från: Adrian Rockall @.> Datum: 2022-03-19 17:53 (GMT+01:00) Till: AdyRock/homey-netscan @.> Kopia: Backaker @.>, Author @.> Ämne: Re: [AdyRock/homey-netscan] I have a problem (Issue #5) The error means that the device actually refused to allow the connection. Could you enable the log by going to https://tools.developer.homey.app/tools/app-settings then select the Netscan app, change the Diagnostic log to Basic Information, wait for the devices to be polled, and then send the log. Preferably wait for the device show offline so I can see what it returns.
I send the log. But it was 5 minutes after i went online again. But I guess you can see backwards a bit?Otherwise let me know and I try to send anotherone while it sais offline.Best regards Daniel Backåker Skickat från min Galaxy -------- Originalmeddelande --------Från: Adrian Rockall @.> Datum: 2022-03-19 19:44 (GMT+01:00) Till: AdyRock/homey-netscan @.> Kopia: Backaker @.>, Author @.> Ämne: Re: [AdyRock/homey-netscan] I have a problem (Issue #5) Could you enable the log by going to https://tools.developer.homey.app/tools/app-settings then select the Netscan app, change the Diagnostic log to Basic Information, wait for the devices to be polled, and then send the log. I can see where it went offline at 02:30:07.898 log time and came back online on the next check. The offline was caused by a timeout due to no response. Maybe it was just a dropped packet that caused it. There is an app called Smart Presence https://homey.app/en-gb/app/nl.terryhendrix.smartpresence/Smart-Presence/ that might fit your requirements better. It is much more feature rich as it is where the original author of this app enhanced it for the specific task of detecting presence via a smart phone. I could also add a simple user definable counter to this app to allow for a number of failures before reporting the device offline. I have resisted adding features so the app doesn't turn into the Smart Presence app but that may be an acceptable enhancement.
Ok. Well i tried smart presence before this and I could not get it to work as I wanted. I dont remember the numbers but for example If I had it on 60 sevonds it would mark me as away like 50-60 Times a Day.And If I up the timeout to 61 it would not mark me as home until 20-45 minutes after I got home. I tried all kinds of things and numbers for 1-2 month before I gave up. Homeys own presence thing is not accurate ither, thats why I started looking for other alternative. And dispite the problems I got, yours is the best I have tried. So If you want to do that change you mensioned it would be Great 😀Ither way I praise you for your fast responsen on my e-mails 😃👍Best regards Daniel Backåker Skickat från min Galaxy -------- Originalmeddelande --------Från: Adrian Rockall @.> Datum: 2022-03-20 10:00 (GMT+01:00) Till: AdyRock/homey-netscan @.> Kopia: Backaker @.>, Author @.> Ämne: Re: [AdyRock/homey-netscan] I have a problem (Issue #5) I can see where it went offline at 02:30:07.898 log time and came back online on the next check. I have published a new test version https://homey.app/en-gb/app/com.netscan/Net-Scan/test. This has an option in the the Advanced Settings to specify how many timeout failures are required before the device is marked as offline.
Thanks. It works Great. I have reduced my false alarms by approximately 70-75 % 😀The false that still comes are due to my phone sometimes suddenly sais that im connected to wifi without internet. I have no idea whats causing that.Best regards Daniel Backåker Skickat från min Galaxy -------- Originalmeddelande --------Från: Adrian Rockall @.> Datum: 2022-03-20 15:49 (GMT+01:00) Till: AdyRock/homey-netscan @.> Kopia: Backaker @.>, Author @.> Ämne: Re: [AdyRock/homey-netscan] I have a problem (Issue #5) I have published a new test version https://homey.app/en-gb/app/com.netscan/Net-Scan/test.
