Update macOS Ventura 13.3 Beta #54

Hi, love your app. Since the recent update to macOS Ventura 13.3 Beta on a Macbook Pro M1 max the app does not work anymore when a second screen is connected via USB-c thunderbolt (ASUS Pro Art). Before I had the screensaver on both screens, now only a small image (Laptop size) is displayed on the second screen. The macbook screen stayed black. Would love to have it back again :)

Hey @Rutile110

I haven't had time to fully investigate yet but it looks like Apple broke something again with their screen saver engine. Here with this beta my main monitor will either stay black or sometimes play a video.

This looks like a beta bug on their end but I'll try to have a deeper look. The whole screen saver system is complicated and I have little say in which screens we are launched in general.

Just to give an update, I've tried looking it up and according to the logs, Aerial is correctly launched twice in my case, once per screen, as it should be.

The bug seems to be that the display goes to sleep while it should not. I've also replicated the issue with Electric Sheep, and another user also reported the same issue on discord.

I did file a bug via Feedback Assistant and would recommend @Rutile110 if you can to do the same, as this does help in general to get their attention.

Hi Guillaume I just updated to the latest Ventura 13.3 Beta Release today, and after second restart everything works again!

Thanks @Rutile110, can confirm I had multiple reports that it looks fixed in Ventura 13.4beta1 !

Just updated to 13.3; aerial does not work (settings open but the screensaver itself doesn't do anything when activated).

@proteus06 per other messages, this is a bug in macOS with Ventura 13.3 that unfortunately made it to the final version, despite our early reports to Apple. It affects other screensavers (not all of them, try "Message" from Apple for an affected one) and is fixed in 13.4beta1.

Seems in Sonoma Apple integrated Aerial as a screensaver option for macOS. Whatever comes out of this, thank you very much what you did! I have enjoyed Aerial a lot on my mac.
