• Simplify the first contact with external entities and industry actors
• Maintain a consistent image for the outside world

Tbh I can't work on a website project, but we might be able to find someone that is opened on working on it?! :thinking:

So here's a little headsup:

I have registered aerorust.org and areweinspaceyet.org.

The first goal for us would be to maintain areweinspaceyet.org and www.aerorust.org, and maybe someday have blog.aerorust.org if members would like to share their experience and fun stuff !

I don't really know about the contents but we can leverage GH pages and the rustlang blog boilerplate which I happen to maintain (a bit).

@Dylan-DPC could you please either add me to the org members or create a project for areweinspaceyet in the org so that I can at least add a work in progress page ?

I can do the basic setup for aerorust as well if you want to :)

Just opened https://github.com/anowell/are-we-learning-yet/issues/63 so I can fork/edit the boilerplate for areweinspaceyet.org

I'm going to edit the information from their page, and push it / setup the DNS if we get an approval from the ML team :)

Sounds good to me. I think we are still in the process of finding out all the domains, but it will be a nice starting point in moving the resources to areweinspaceyet.org

Should it be arewespaceyet or areweinspaceyet? I can already tell you that yes there is Rusty software running in space at this moment. I feel like arewespaceyet addresses the bigger issue of acceptance in the industry, rather than an event that will (or has) occur.

To be honest I don't really care how it's called, as long as it's filled with awesome stuff :joy_cat: what counts at the end.

I like the approach, we went for areweinspaceyet because it sounded less like a mouthful but arewespaceyet might convey the meaning better. I’m gonna check if I can buy the domain, and we’ll create CNAMEs and we could vote for the name that makes most sense.

It would be really great if someone could add contents and links there :)

I'll try to setup something similar for the main site.

Apart from the https://www.areweinspaceyet.org that @o0Ignition0o created (Thank you for that :heart: ! ) I've started looking into making a Book for people coming in the community, to begin with.

I pretty much don't know what to include there, but it's now up and running.

Thanks to @o0Ignition0o we also have the https://aerorust.org which we might use for the Book or create a landing page for the community! The code for the Book is located in the https://github.com/AeroRust/AeroRust.github.io repo and currently deployed with Github Pages on https://AeroRust.github.io
