Here's some wip... fixed tests until I found something that looks like it might be an actual bug (test #10 in event_spec about event deregistration) and then got distracted by some toolchain snafus on my end.
Things look to be working pretty decently, by and large. Did not do any meaningful work on stdlib/ yet: mostly just event_spec.lua.
