We are invited to present our project at the re:publica Global Innovation Lounge [1] in Berlin (6th of Mai).

Representatives from technology innovation hubs in Africa, Latin America and Asia join #rp13 to share stories and insights from their spaces as well as host discussions, talks and making sessions on topics such as sustainable business models, “hacking for a better world”, and hub building across different environmental, political and social environments.

This is a great opportunity for us to connect and tell about our project. Also if you read the description you will find quite some similarity some goals we have.

Besides being able to participate we're invited to do a quick talk (15min): http://re-publica.de/en/sessions/africahacktrip-exploring-african-tech-communities

I'm opening this issue to discuss and plan the talk and anything related to the event.

Currently I know that @myamy @skddc @langalex @xMartin @jancborchardt @bumi are planing to come to the event.

Tickets: Geraldine (project manager for the Global Innovation Lounge) just wrote me an email. We get 1 ticket for free, as they had only planned to give one to Anya, and they don't have enough free tickets anymore. I just bought my ticket, and told Geraldine to put @bumi 's name down for the free ticket. Hope that was ok for everyone.

let's share it and split the costs.

who else is coming?

bumi commented 11 years ago

oh, btw. @jancborchardt can you help us with some slides (design)? I haven't really thought about the talk yet, maybe you also have some input.

I’ll not be able to make it after all because I’m only coming to Berlin Monday late evening. Also I’m really busy the next days so I’ll probably not be able to help slide-wise, except some pointers:

@bumi in the https://github.com/africahacktrip/presskit repo is an AfricaHackTrip.pdf which seem to be slides – @gr2m can you add the source file for that in there too? The logos are in the same repo and the typeface is http://font.ubuntu.com As for color scheme, use the same as on the website: grey textured background, and bright off-white font rgb(238,238,238).

Make some slides until Saturday, I'll pimp them for you, maybe lets have a call on the evening? — Gregor Martynus

I'd love to come but hesitant to buy a ticket since I don't have much time for the rest of the conference. @bumi I think you should get the free ticket for your effort of the talk.

@bumi @myamy

could you please post a quick review of the re:publica at blog.africahacktrip.org, then close this issue? Cheers!
