Event Kampala 1 (Unconference) #69

Talked to Richard Zulu, Program Manager Outbox Hub, Kampala via Skype about the event we will be doing at Outbox:

R: Fri/Sat would be good for two days of events.

We chose the discussion/unconference format for Friday October 4.

Event will start at 10 (yes, on a Friday, he must know...). People might drop in starting at 10 or maybe later. Lunch would be 1pm, coffee/tea at 5.

I explained to him the current idea of the unconference and he likes it but thinks we need to make more clear who we are and what we focus on. I promised to send him a good description text. He's confident 50-60 people will come.

We should expect beginners to intermediate knowledge level in web technology.

Would be good if we have something to offer that people might need. Like interface design is needed so if we can provide help with design would be good advertisement.

Advertisement should start one month ahead of the event.

I will have call with Outbox today. Event description needs to be finished (#83). I'm taking care of that.
