11 years ago So regarding marketing material, what do we want to do except the events text? Some banner graphic ~1000*700 px or something like that to serve as a quick visual info for the event? @EmiMaj what do you think?

11 years ago @jancborchardt sure, banner is ok! we can create a template and use it for each event. Other idea: a poster that will encourage people to come? hubs could print it or send via email to others (something easy and additional if we have spare time)?

Talked to Brian Ndyaguma from Hive Colab via Skype:
We will be doing the hack-a-thon-style event there Sat, Oct 5.
Broad topic is Web Technology and Mobile Apps. Brian says people will be interested and we can expect 50 people. They might have mostly basic knowledge about web tech, some professional, but they will all be able to follow.
Open source is not a big topic. He has 3-8 people in mind that might be interested.
Biggest interest is Android.
Hack-a-thon will be well received, not too much presentation and talk.
We should start advertising soon, they are expecting info for marketing from us.
We can pay when we're there.
Brian is very nice and offered multiple times to show us around and organize evening events for going out.
