Do we want any of that?

Cards sound ok. But shirts, buttons and any other swag I think is overkill.

jancborchardt commented 11 years ago

cc @emimaj for discussion. :)

gr2m commented 11 years ago

Could we also make two banners for the events?

EmiMaj commented 11 years ago

Guys, I will respond that topic tomorrow, sorry!

@gr2m what kind of banners you wish to have? is that what you meant: https://www.google.pl/search?q=standing+banners&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=rfYcUuLREYmGswbU_oD4CA&ved=0CAkQ_AUoAQ&biw=1163&bih=617

Also I think it would be graet to have tshirts for the team – to be easily recognize and have good marketing on photos:) Each one will cost around 10 euro (good quality of course). I can print them and bring with me.

Same with business cards – I can design them, print and bring. How many of them we need? 100, 200, more?

What do you think so?

gr2m commented 11 years ago

I don't have much experience with it, so take my opinion with caution. For the banners, I'd get something that we can just put on the walls, it should take as little space as possible in our baggage. We might also get it printed in Nairobi, maybe?

T-Shirts: FUCKYEAH!

Cards: let's make 500, one card for all of us, where we can just fill in our name before we give it away?

EmiMaj commented 11 years ago

banners – maybe sth like this? http://www.baner-shop.pl/druk_wielkoformatowy/banery/baner_standard_720dpi.html it might be heavy, but still ok to take it to plane (not sure I can do it with tshirts) Can we ask someone from iHub how Nairobi's printing house works?

Tshirts – does everyone agree?

Cards – yes! let's make one version for all

langalex commented 11 years ago

Then for shirts I’d say similar to the stickers, black with white print. Simply the logo I’d say here (without »AfricaHackTrip«), because when someone wears the shirt, they can explain it.

gr2m commented 11 years ago

Regarding T-Shirts, I'd keep it simple as Jan says, but I'd like to have them, just for the sake of being a team + being recognizable for others. Logo is enough.

xMartin commented 11 years ago

Yeah! Black shirt, white logo is what I want.

EmiMaj commented 11 years ago

+1 for black&white logo on tshirts Regarding the banners and business cards – I think both "feel like a sales" and I'm not sure it's worth. I guess that exchanging Twitter handle is enough to keep in touch with people we''ll meet.

@EmiMaj you got the T-Shirts, right? I'm closing this, feel free to reopen. Please don't forget them, would be such a bummer :)

EmiMaj commented 11 years ago

Yes, sure - I'm taking care of that:) On 12 Sep 2013 22:02, "Gregor Martynus" notifications@github.com wrote:
