Name+Address in Kenya for Visa Application #84

Just filled in my visa application for Kenya. They want a contact in Kenya, so here are the details for our house (=hotel), in case you want to do the visa application beforehand as well:

as far as i understand their small print (see below), we need single entry visa. valid 90 days, and allows re-entry from tanzania and uganda. i'll ask about it at the consulate tomorrow and let you know.

Q. How long does the visa endorsed in a passport allow a visitor to stay in Kenya? A. On arrival at the airport, the passport will be stamped with an entry pass valid for the duration of visit or up to 90 days with effect from the date of arrival in Kenya. The entry pass may be extended for another 90 days, if the extension meets all the immigration regulations. However, the stay cannot exceed six months.

Q. If a visitor has a valid visa and entry pass for Kenya and then decides to visit Tanzania or Uganda, then returns to Kenya within the validity, would they need another visa? A. No. The Single Entry Visa allows multiple re-entries only from Tanzania and Uganda.

Single entry is what we need: http://213.198.57.244/fileadmin/user_upload/app_forms/Visa_Form_22_DE-ENG.pdf For some unknown reason, re-entry from Tanzania or Uganda is no problem, staying in Rwanda in between is also no problem, we jsut cannot re-enter Kenya directly from Rwanda. Random rules, but that's what she said.

One way ticket was also no problem, we didn't even have to show our tickets. And I can pick up both passports on Friday, no authorization (Vollmacht) needed.

Very friendly lady there, she put me into holiday mode :)

And finally: As we need the standard tourist visa, I guess it should be no problem for you to get them at the airport upon arrival either. I just personally don't want to spend more time in a queue than necessary.
