(+ We take part in App Night on Monday 30 Sept > not an "official" AHT-event, but maybe we will present something there which has been built on Friday)
ToDo:
@xMartin @jancborchardt @bumi @skddc Compose invite text (input from Martha Chuomo / Nairobi Dev School and Mark Kaigwa) > get feedback from Mugethi at iHub > put invite on website / send invites out to blogs, etc.
Book catering :white_check_mark:
Create Lanyrd event (@skddc iHub normally uses eventbrite, is that an issue?)
We need a selling point, proper narrative. There was a Barcamp last month about »the next 50« what will happen in tech in the next 50 years. So it’s good that we have more specific topics: open source, web apps, Firefox OS, …
10 AM – 6 PM on weekday is not a problem because a large part of the community are freelancers
We will also use the first day to find out what everyone works on, and then at the hackathon if possible collaborate on these existing projects because it’s more sustainable than some one-off hacks.
I’ll talk to Jessica (mobile app development) and Mark (head of ux design) about the event format and topics also, cc @xMartin @emimaj
