That's a pity, but that's life. Could someone elaborate on the difficulties in installing pink si that we can share this feedback with the developers? I am told a new version of pink is in the works, and they may be able to take our problems into account!
The Source Finding Container currently includes source-finding software (e.g., SOFIA/PYBDSF/AEGEAN) and the source characterizing software called PINK.
There seems to be some difficulty in creating a container in which PINK can coexist with the others. Therefore, it makes sense to construct two containers -- one for source finding and one for source characterization; the latter would be purpose built for PINK and subsidiary packages.
So:
[ ] Source Finding (call it SCIFI).
[ ] Source Characterization PINK (call it SCINK).
