Xbox One Wireless Controller Help #54

Open rjhartman74 opened 7 years ago

Hello and thanks for the hard work!

Does anyone know if you can use the analog stick for movement? My d pad controls movement and I don't see any settings on how to change this, if you can at all.

Thanks!

dominater01 commented 7 years ago

only d pad works for controller so far, i'd assume a feature like this would come at some point

rjhartman74 commented 7 years ago

Thanks. I hope so. The Nesbox emulator or Universal emulator, not sure what it goes by, does work with the analog stick.

albertofustinoni commented 7 years ago

As a matter of fact, Analog input is implemented.

The problem is, the PlayStation core doesn't seem to do anything with said input and so far I haven't figured out why.

rjhartman74 commented 7 years ago

Huh. I haven't tried using the playstation core. How do you get it to work with the NES and SNES cores? I don't see any way to make controller changes.

albertofustinoni commented 7 years ago

Those consoles never had analog to begin with.

Of course it's not going to work.

rjhartman74 commented 7 years ago

There are several NES and SNES emulators that will work with the analog stick on an Xbox One Controller. Figured it was possible on this one.

rjhartman74 commented 7 years ago

I assume this was closed because it's not possible to implement?

Would the emulator link below have any code to help? This one does work with the analog stick for both NES and SNES.

Excuse my ignorance if this is not help, I greatly appreciate what you have done. It's so much easier to play these on one device and not have multiples clogging up the tv area.

albertofustinoni commented 7 years ago

I didn't mean to close the issue - my mistake.

I will add your request to the roadmap, but other things have higher priority right now.

Thank you in advance

No problem at all, thanks for your hard work!!
