Read access rights are not respected #240

After migration from mm_forum we confront some read access issues.

All our sub-forums have read access restrictions for specific user groups only by ACL. In the list of sub-forums in frontend ALL sub-forums are listed, even those not accessable for the frontend user according to their user group settings. At least the sub-forums which should be not accessable have the icon with the lock symbol. Still ALL sub-forums are accessable for any frontend user, even those having the icon with the lock symbol.

Illustration: User A is part of UserGroup AA, but not of Usergroup AB. Usergroup AA and Usergroup AB have Usergroup A assigned as a subgroup.

Forum A has a sub-forum Forum AA and Forum AB. Forum A has read access for Usergroup A. Forum AA has read access for Usergroup AA. Forum AB has read access for Usergroup AB.

User A should have read access for Forum A and Forum AA, but NOT for Forum AB. In our case User A has read access for ALL forums.

How can we set it up the way it should work as described above? Ideally the sub-forums which are not accessable should not be shown at all in the sub-forums list. Grateful for any hints!

Nobody any idea or hint? This issue tracker seems to be orphaned... Also approaching the Mittwald company directly and mentioning that there's quite some open issues here and no responses since weeks and months didn't seem to help. i didn't even get a response from the Mittwald support... 👎
